- We live on less than $2400.00 (take home) per month - that includes the $1500.00 mortgage payment. Yes, we live on $900.00/month and we can still put away money in savings. Yes, we have four kids. Yes, we eat mostly organic. Yes, we have three cars. I am a stay at home mother to four that we homeschool. My husband is a firefighter. I was a successful business owner for 10 years and sold my company for a profit in November 2006 to pursue graduate school. Cool beans! This is such a great idea, and those onion bags are easy to find. So many kinds of packaging should lead to being recycled like this, but they rarely are. It gives some insurance that there can be a productive use for otherwise damaging packaging plastics.
